It is with such a sad heart that I say that at the end of April we lost our sweet Billie. Billie fell and hurt her stifle in February of 2009...she was diagnosed with a partial tear of the cruciate ligament - our vet thought at her young age we should try some treatment first with surgery as a last resort. After several attempts at treatment and therapy it was decided that the surgery was our only course at this time. In September we went ahead and did the surgery...she ended up with a rare and aggressive infection called MRSA...we treated it VERY aggressively but could never get a step ahead of it - and in April she lost her fight. Billie approached everything in life with a wagging tail and a happy face. I miss you everyday my sweet Billie Goat - your life was too short you didn’t get a chance to make your mark anywhere but on my heart. I love you. Original website info below: Since our Meena has been such a wonderful part of our family here, when it was time to add another puppy we spoke again with Cindy Powell at Adonis Great Danes. She told me “I have a wonderful puppy for you to see...but she has ATTITUDE!!!” And that she does - she is pretty sure she is the boss of everything, including the hose! And since her daddy is Meena brother how could I resist!!! Welcome to the family little girl - can’t wait to watch you show your stuff….just “Me Myself and I”! Well the little miss Billie Goat is here - and what a happy fun loving girl she is! Rosi is quite sure this is the best thing that ever happened to her! Billie is just like her mom and Grandma - happy go lucky! This girl has a ton of bone and substance and has a personality to die for!!! Mar 2009 - At Billie’s second show out she takes WB for 2 points. (photo below) June 2009 - Billie takes Best of Winners for 3 points at the NACA all breed show. Billie is taking a break from showing to mature and recover from an injury to her stifle. She will be back in 2010! |
